We are sorry to hear that you are having an issue with the Yoast SEO plugin, and we’d be more than happy to investigate the matter further for you.

This issue occurs when the Yoast SEO cannot complete a database query to create the wp_yoast_indexable table and as such, it throws the error. To fix the issue, you’ll need to reset the Yoast SEO indexables & migrations tables first by following the steps given below by using the Yoast Test Helper plugin:

    – Go to Tools → Yoast Test → Yoast SEO → Reset indexables tables & migrations options to reset it.
    – Rerun the indexables analysis from the Yoast SEO → Tools → SEO Data → Start processing and speed up your site now option.

Please let us know whether the issue persists performing the above steps.

Will resetting it Harm my SEO and Ranking of Old Posts or Pages in any way?
Sorry, I may sound silly, I am really a Beginner.

    Thank you

    Hi @itsrrohit,

Thanks for your reply. No, this reset is just a reset of post meta data in the Yoast tables in your WordPress database, this does not affect any rankings or SEO settings or anything else.

I did the reset. But I can’t Rerun the indexables analysis, as I cant Find anything like SEO Data in Tools of Yoast Seo plugin.

    @itsrrohit

If you go to SEO-Tools does it show that the indexables have completed running? Does it show a green check mark?

If so, then Yoast was able to complete the process. The Speed Up Your Site Button makes Yoast index the content right away. Even if you did not click the button Yoast would have overtime indexed the content.

As long as it shows a green check mark you are all set.

I am not getting any SEO Data Option there

I am just Getting options Till Text Link Counter

    also this debug information

Error executing ‘query’ with: CREATE UNIQUE INDEX idx_wp_yoast_migrations_version ON wp_yoast_migrations(version) Reason: INDEX command denied to user ‘rohitcha_wp271’@’localhost’ for table ‘wp_yoast_migrations’

    Hi,

We understand that the SEO Data field as shown here https://pasteboard.co/Jc95HmFs.png is not appearing on your site. It may be related that error.

This message is displayed when the database user does not have the correct permissions: as described here: https://yoast.com/help/cannot-create-database-tables/. In this case: INDEX. The issue will cause specific features to not work as efficiently as possible, but the majority of the plugin features will work.

Yoast SEO requires the following permissions for the database user: ALTER, CREATE, DELETE, INDEX, INSERT, SELECT, UPDATE and DROP. Unfortunately, this is not something we can check from the WordPress admin area.

If you are familiar with executing queries in the database manager, like phpMyAdmin, you can use the show grants statement like so: SHOW GRANTS FOR CURRENT_USER; This guide explains more: https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/8.0/en/show-grants.html.

If you are not familiar with executing, changing, or checking queries in the database manager, your web host or server admin can confirm the database user has the correct permissions. If your web host needs the specific database information, WordPress provides you with the database name and username under Admin > Tools > Site Health > Info under the database section.

In some cases, users have reported that temporarily allowing the database user to have all permissions by checking the all privileges, or similar wording depending on your database manager, will resolve the issue.

I manually Checked the Permissions Myself and My Problem is Solved now.
Thank you so much for the Support

We are glad the issue is resolved. If you experience any more issues or have questions, please let us know by making a new topic.
