I am looking for a plugin to read epub online

  • Hello everyone !

    I have a small site hosting books in .epub format.

    I am looking for a plugin to read epubs online with a shortcode, like that :

    [shortcode]https://Book web address.epub[/shortcode]

    I found plugins to read .pdf, but nothing for .epub.

    Anyone know if a wordpress plugin epub reader already exists?

  • Hi Otton,

    I did a little research and indeed it looks like currently there isn’t such plugin. After seeing this topic, maybe someone will be tempted to make one.

    If you are willing to experiment a little with Javascript and HTML code, then this seems like a good idea: https://github.com/futurepress/epub.js Keep in mind that it will require some level of HTML/Javascript knowledge.
