Please help! – I have run a cookie report so I have all of the cookies, I think. But I have google Adsense and the FB pixel – I have read a couple of the support threads but it all talks about wrapping php and that is over my head! Is there a walkthrough step by step go here do this guide? Or a video guide? ALso the Adsense cookie change all the time so how is this dealt with/explained in the privacy policy?
Additionally, it mentions shortcodes but in the documentation, there isn’t any listed that I can find, just the actual forms? Is there a way to grab these from the plugin itself to add to my privacy policy?
Also, when I ran my report it said there was a prior cookie consent function, but I cannot figure this bit out either?
I thought all i had to do was add the cookie codes – but I also need to add links to the what? Privacy policy? Opt-out policy (no one seems to tell you how to do this on their sites?)
This is really stressing me out, so would be ever so grateful for some help!

    Hi @belinda1234,

    I got you. Let’s see…

    The wrapping explanation is here.

Sadly I do not have video guides. With all the support and updates that I need to do, I barely had time to write the documentation. I would love a video tutorial series. I’ll try to make time for it, but no promises.

What do you mean by the adsense cookie change all the time? The name of the cookie? Some cookies add an ID to it or a hash. Don’t worry, the plugin figures out the name of the cookie for you. So if a cookie is called, for example, adsense_3281903 all you need to register is adsense_ and the plugin will figure out the numbers for you.

You can see a list of all functions and Shortcodes here.

I cannot say about a prior cookie consent function. We provide one but I don’t think that’s the one you are referring to.

For cookies your site create, you just need to input them in your settings and wrap them with the codes provided. For third-party cookies. Cookies that are being set by facebook for instance, you need to point out to instructions on how to opt out. You can google something like FB Pixel Opt Out and you might find the instructions. Link to that page. If such instructions don’t exist or you could not find them, you must at least link to their privacy policy.

Don’t need to stress out about this. We still have time and I’m here to help you.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

    ok thank you.

Re the wrapping, where do I put that code??

    If I list the plugins/cookies I have?
Running wordpress so I need those (necessary? ) g.gif
Acuity Scheduling – there doesnt seem to be any for this?
Ad for adsense ads/ga-audiences google.com (but I think I have deleted audiences now?)
    Amazon for Amazon e/ir
Google analytics (statistics optin/out how do I anonymise?) _ga,_gat_gid
FB pixel (opt out? Ids this marketing or stastics?) fr, tr
    mailerlite (necessary) _cfduid, webforms/o/739938/j3c6x9
Pinterest (statistics optin/out how od I anonymise) _pinterest_cm
cmfts, cmphn, cmses creativemarket.com – this is an affiliate ad I put in through a widget
    google_experiment_mod, google_pub_config – is this ads?
pixel fcmatch.youtube.com – I wasnt aware of a youtube pixel being installed?

Ones I have no idea where they come from?

    d, dpixel, mc quantserve.com
    a afy11.net
    c, drtn#, khaos rubiconproject.com
    ab, pixel/#,u agkn.com
    cid bannerflow.com
    ck1, rlas3, rtn1-z rlcdn.com
CMDD, CMID, CMPRO, CMPS, CMSC, CMST casalemedia.com
    DSID, IDE, pixel, test_cookie doubleclick.net
    i openx.net
    id, mdata mookie1.com
b30msc, bsc, btc beacon.walmart.com (what?? Unless this was a walmart ad through adsense??)
    google_pub_config
    google_experiment_mod

Um yeah, so I wrap all those?
And the report I ran said this: A cookie script that supports prior consent is installed on the website. Please consult the tutorial for the cookie script to enable prior consent.

The shortcodes dont actually display – they are the actual boxes not something like [shortcode] so I am not sure how to extract them to put at the end of the cookie policy?

I think that is all? Let me know if you need any more info.

Sorry for being useless! THankyou for all the hard work you have put in – totally understand re the videos! Your support is amazing!

Sorry re the above, I know they give a website, but I have never heard of them and when I go there they mean nothing to me!

These were all identified by the report run by cookie bot. when I did it your way as outlined in the inspect thing, then different ones came up, none of the unknown type ones I think?

I recommend doing it my way. Look at each one, take note and then google them to see what they are and who is setting it.
