Website: dipunchurface.com <<if you go to it, you’ll see what I’m talking about

I was following a tutorial and was toying with the functions.php page. I guess I messed up somewhere, because the site completely broke. I think I know what I did wrong, the problem is, it won’t let me go back in and fix it. I can’t even access the admin panel in wordpress.

    Help?

  • If its in functions you can ftp to site includes/functions.php and repair it there. Download and save it first. Then upload repaired file.

    Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

I’ve never used the FTP before, but I will try these things. Thanks!

the same thing happened to me the other day as i was editing the functions.php. i freaked! i was able to get back in by uploading a clean functions.php file from the “original theme” using ftp.

its easy to use ftp and there are tons of great tutorials on how to do it on youtube. filezilla is a great ftp client.

    good luck
