have you tried deactivating all plugins and testing?
have you switched to twenty ten theme to rule out an error with theme?

thanks – ive deactivated quite a few but am very conscious of making obvious changes to the site as its a live magazine. do you know of anything i could use as a holding page plugin?

plus, if i switch my theme, wont it default back to the original non-modified version of my current theme when i move it back?

ok – tried this. looks like a theme error i guess as twentyten it works fine…!

now is it a case of going through my code with a fine toothcomb?

Are you using Artemia Free or Astemia Premium?

Premium ?? I know I should use their support but it’s not very good and is in the middle of an upgrade :s Should I post my single.php here?

Have you still got the original download from them? If so, because your database must be ok since it works in twentyten, you could just reinstall the theme.

Take a backup of your css file if you have made changes to the css of course

yes – maybe i should just redo some of the php files – ive done a lot of modification to the overall theme that i cant bear to lose unless i really have to! ??

As your pages and index.php seem to be working it seems to point to the single.php file. Have you had a good look at that?
