• Hi this is my first post on this forum. I need some help urgently.

I have been running a blog site for about eight months. I use word press 2.7.1 and have been using Filezilla to upload my files etc. Everything was going fine until about two weeks ago. From then on whenever I tried to upload an image to my blog on WordPress I have received this message ” The uploaded file could not be moved to /home/bushfcom/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2009/10.” I get this error message no matter if I try to upload images using the flash or browser uploaders.

I have tried all sorts of things to solve this problem. I have googles for an answer and looked at many other forums but so far have not found an answer to the problem.

A couple of days ago I opened Filezilla on my computer and found that there was an update waiting for me to download. I thought it would be worth a try as there may be a fix to my problem within the new update. I downloaded this new update and tried to upload an image to my blog site. It worked! I was over the moon and thought my problems were solved. Unfortunately the very next day I added a new post to my blog and tried to uplad images to it. I got the very same error message again.

I cannot work out what is going wrong, I’m at my wits end and my blog site is rapidly losing readers.

    Please can someone help me.

    Kind regards,

    Tony

I’d recommend that you upgrade to WP 2.8 asap. By continuing to run 2.7.1, you have a higher than average risk of being hacked.

Have you checked to see how much available space you have left on your current hosting account?

    Hi esmi,

    Thanks for your response.

Excuse my ignorance, I’m new to all this but, how do I check how much acailable space I have on my current hosting account?

    Contact your hosting provider.
