I cannot add or remove widgets in the new theme

  • I installed the new theme, but when I do to Design> Widgets> it says that there are no Current Widgets. In fact, when i visit my site (online) there are the widgets: Blogroll, Categories, Serach, Pages, Meta etc..

    How can i remove some of them?

    P.S. Also i tried a new theme, but its the same problem again.
