I Cannot Do anything (Write New, edit posts, delete comments)

  • I have had v2.6 since it came out and have had no problems except a lot of spam comments. I have taken proper measures to prevent this spam. I started not being able to write posts, edit, delete comments etc. I cant install or delete plug ins either. I upgraded to 2.7 and nothing has improved. I deleted the entire WP folder on my ftp and reinstalled. I haven’t done anything with my mysql db. Does anyone have any idea how i can fix this problem?

  • You probably should have addressed the problem before upgrading, but as long as your database is still there, you should still be okay. Are you getting any kind of error message? Did you do anything different before this started happening? Can you post a link to your site?

    my database is fine, error messages range from, “You do not have permission to do that.” During auto save while writing a post”

    “Your attempt to activate this plugin: “PLUGIN NAME” has failed.”

    trying to delete comments,the comment will flash red.

    Also, when i try to log out, i get this message

    You are attempting to log out of I Made The Internet

    Please try again.

    Sounds like you may may have been hacked. Can you post a like to the site?

    Oh, I see…the name of your site is imadetheinternet ?? When I saw that in your line above about logging out, I assumed a hacker had put that there ??

    I’m not sure what else to suggest without being able to look at the account.

    i tried completely removing WP, and putting it back up, but no help. SO i am assuming it has something to do with my DB. What can i do to see if i can fix it?

    Do you know how to use phpMyAdmin to dump the database as an sql file? If so, if you dump it, zip it and post it somewhere so I can download it, I’ll take a look and see what I can find. You can email me the download location at 234figaro432 [at] gmail [dot] com
