i cannot install

  • I am really sorry to post this as i imagine there is many topics of the same nature.

    I am stuck at the point where i must open a file in notepad and enter my internet details. Where about in the doc do i add the details and i have no idea what details to enter.

    I hope this isnt taken the wrong way but if someone could fix this for me over Teamviewer i would pay them for there help.

    thanks a million for offering help. I have just looked at the link you provided and i see that i need the following to enter into the doc.

    Database Name
    Database Name used by WordPress
    Database Username
    Username used to access Database
    Database Password
    Password used by Username to access Database
    Database Host
    The hostname of your Database Server

    I am confused because i havent created any type of database.

    you’ll have to create one. check with your hosting provider for instructions on how to do that. it should be somewhere in their documentation.

    I am so sorry if this is a retarded question but i dont have a web host. I dont have a domain or my own website. I just wanted to install this and try to create a website. I dont have anything in place yet. I am confused haha.

    WordPress is a sever based program. It basically won’t work without a host or server. While you can run a server on your home computer to build a WordPress site and test it, this sound a little beyond your current knowledge.

    You might try WordPress.com as it is a lot easier there.

    If you want to learn how to use wordpress before you invest any money in domain name and host account you install a wamp server on your PC and install wordpress locally that only can see and learn wordpess.

    I have tutorial videos on how to use admin panel and a article and videos on how to install wamp server and wordpress on your PC.

    Yes if you are going host online or use a wamp if you want to learn.

    Now i have come to install.php but im having a problem, its just white?? what should i do, i thought maybe it’s installing and will show something soon but it has been white sins. What can i do to make this work??
