I cannot login into the admin dashboard area

  • Dear forum,

    today i found out that i cannot login to my admin area. i am logging after a while.also something wierd i noticed that my products/shop page says there are no products to show but when i chose an option from the sorting combobox then the products starts to show (im using woocommerce). at wp=login.php page nothing happens even i type the correct login data and the capcha says its wrong always. so i dissabled the capcha plugin via FTP. then the capcha error is gone but still no progress into the admin panel.stuck in wp-login.please help me to solve this.

  • If it’s been a long time it may be something that has to do with your database.

    If this were me, I would backup my whole site via FTP and download a backup of my database.

    go back to your ‘mysite.com/wp-login.php’ and see if you can reset your password with the ‘forgot password’ link on that page. (if that was the case)

    If no progress,
    Go to your phpMyAdmin – or whatever your host uses to manage your database – and look at the wp_users table to see if your admin credentials are still there.

    You can create another user manually through your database manager (phpMyAdmin) with SQL queries if you wish.
