I cannot post on my blog

  • Help!

    At first I just had problems uploading media (pics). Errors in uploading it says.

    Later today as I was trying to write a new post I noticed that now instead of the usual SAVE DRAFT or PUBLISH button on the side, there’s a SUBMIT FOR REVIEW button.

    This is confusing since I’m the only one using the blog. Supposedly.

    I tried to save a post as well as to click the SUBMIT FOR REVIEW, but what appears is this -> “You are not allowed to edit this post.”

    When I check the Users list, I’m still the admin and only user.

    I’m not sure if this is a Version 3.5.2 problem or a plugin or maybe my site is compromised.

    PLS HELP. Thoughts? Suggestions?

    It can’t hurt but I’m not sure what that would do as it’s not determined if there is a hack or not.

    Start with the basics and do these temporary steps.

    1. Switch to the Twenty Twelve theme
    2. Deactivate all of your plugins (no exceptions)
    3. Clear your browsers cache and cookies
    4. Re-login and attempt to publish a post

    If that does work then there’s probably a conflict with your theme and/or plugins and you’ll need to switch them on one at a time until you can reproduce the problem.

    If that does not work then confirm that the account you are using actually has the correct role assigned to it.

    Your account needs at least Author privileges to be able to publish.
