    Hello,

I enable SSL through iThemes Security and I can not access the site anymore. The front end is fine but I can not log in into the dashboard.

I’ve tryied different things and the problem is still there:

-Changing the pluging folder name to deactivate it
-Getting rid of some lines of code in the wp-config.php file according to official plugin intructions
-Checking the lockouts on the database

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Thanks @aunpric,

Changing FORCE SSL to false and renaming the plugin folder worked!

However, I can’t change the site to https. I tried with Really Simple SSL Plugin and then manually without success. When I do it, I get the same error message I got at the begining with iThemes Security:

    ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

I Think is some redirection or some code that iThemes Security added to wp-config.php or .htaccess.

you should have an ssl certificate you can use cloudflare it will speed up your site and also give some cool features but to get full protection you neex to install an certificate to your origin server there is an free and Tursted ssl provider is letsencrypt

SOLVED: in my case this was due to an IP block at host level.
It seems that now more and ore hosts are protecting the WP admin area.

I have an SSL certificate with letsencrypt.org…

The domain is registered with GoDaddy and the hosting is with another company. I will check redirections…

Ask Hosting provider that they support letsencrypt or not and ask for The reduction issue
