I can't access wordpress, only getting a warning notice

  • Can someone please help me, I am a newbie to this. I installed a wordpress theme for my website, I also tried to install and activate a plugin – then I got a warning notice at the top of the page which wouldn’t go away. Now when I try to log in to wordpress admin i only get this warning notice ‘Please install and activate Simplest Gallery plugin!
    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/content/78/10659578/html/superfood/wp-content/plugins/jquery-cycle-slideshow-for-simplest-gallery/sg-cycle.php:29) in /home/content/78/10659578/html/superfood/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 876
    Could someone please advise me what to do?

  • Delete jquery-cycle-slideshow-for-simplest-gallery and see if it resolves the issue. Also review:

    Hi there, Many thanks for the advice. I had already deleted the full theme file and re-uploaded it again but this didn’t work. I can’t find jquery-cycle-slideshow-for-simplest-gallery in any of the files so not sure if this is because i deleted the theme file. I will look over the link you have sent for more information. Thanks Lesley

    Did you look at html/superfood/wp-content/plugins/ ?

    Hi Krishna,
    I was finding it very difficult to understand so as I hadn’t actually made any changes to the wordpress theme I just deleted it and re-installed a new wordpress theme to work from and now it is running fine, every day I’m learning a little more. Many thanks for all your help it is much appreciated, Lesley.

    It’s quite okay. Everyone learns that way only, me too when I started afresh with WordPress. Hope you learn everything fast and wish you a nice time with your site.
