• Hello guys,

After tryng this guys’s adice i managed to broke my website – https://www.horoscopmagic.ro and I can’t even login to the admin pannel.

This is the error that I get:
Warning: require_once(TEMPLATEPATH/cms/php/cp_classes.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home4/m3physt0/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 86

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘TEMPLATEPATH/cms/php/cp_classes.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home4/m3physt0/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 86

I tried to replace the functions.php file with the original file in ftp but it didn’t work. Then i deleted the theme hoping it will get back to the basic theme, but it didn’t work either. Now I don’t know what to do and i’m begging for an advice.

Thank you very much for your time!

  • What version of WordPress are you running?
    What file did you change?

I don’t know for sure what version of Wp i’m running but i made my site 5 months ago so i think is pretty new.

I modified the functions.php file this was the only modification i’ve done.

The theme is “Innovation plus Science2” if it helps.

Try switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

I did that but it doesn’t work. I even deleted the theme but it still didn’t work. I have a lot of posts on the website and i hope to recover them.

We need to know what version of WordPress you are running. You need to examine the wp-options table in your database and locate the value for the option name db_version.

Edit: Download the WordPress version you use. Re-upload wp-includes/functions.php file. You should edit the functions.php file which is placed in your TEMPLATE DIRECTORY, not in the wp-includes. (unless you’re doing a core hack.)

In tutorial, he asks you to change your template’s functions file, but you edited core functions.php file (also have a syntax error). Re-upload the wp-includes/functions.php file and it’s done. Obviously, there’s nothing wrong with db_version etc. >.>

@esmi, he didnt change the template functions.php file. Changing theme won’t work. Check the error code. Seems he edited the ‘core’ functions.php (wp-includes/functions.php) file.

db_version is 22441 Hope it helps

Did you edit functions.php inside the wp-includes directory, or inside your theme’s directory? The edit you referenced should be inside your theme’s functions.php.

To check which version of WordPress you’re running, log in to your admin dashboard and look in the bottom right corner of the page.

You appear to be using WordPress 3.5 – an older version that places your site at considerable risk of being hacked. Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress 3.5.2. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

Thank you again for the help! I’m very very happy right now ??

Glad we could help. Now, do please upgrade WordPress asap.
