I cant add a technorati picture into my left sidebar

thats the code… ive messed with my code a lot, i can add it into my right sidebar, but not my left sidebar…

the only widget i have active on the left sidebar is the recent posts.

this is what i added into the left sidebar:

and it didnt work, likewise, i added that exact same thing into the right sidebar and it worked perfectly

any suggestions?
