I can’t Change my WordPress (self-hosted) password!

  • I can’t change my WordPress password. There’s not two blanks: password and confirming password banks visible at all! When I try to do the generate password and the random password shows up, I replace it with my new one but it doesn’t take. Only the old. Please help!

    Based on your description, it sounds like what you are talking about is changing the password for a user in the admin (where the “generate password” button is)?

    If that’s what we are talking about, that’s a WordPress feature. It doesn’t have anything to do with the plugin.

    In that process passwords are checked by the WP password strength meter. If the password you change it to is not a strong password (as determined by the meter), you need to check the “Confirm use of weak password” checkbox before it will accept your change.
