I can’t change the permalink for homepage when on different language

    well, as the title says, i just want to change the homepage permalink for spanish version of homepage so i will be able to visit that URL when switched to spanish version on language switcher menu on navbar, but when i tried to do that, it doesnt give any kind of error or message showing why i cant, rather trying to navigate to a non-existing url which i never created..the video below will clear up the issue better.

    to reproduce the issue:
    switch to spanish version and go in “Home” page in pages section, then try to change the permalink to “es/home”, so, then, when we hit the spanish flag on language switcher on navbar, it will find the correct page, but im not allowed to change that permalink as you can clearly see on the video, any help is highly appreciated as im all stuck for a day, thanks in advance

    I’m guessing that you are not keen to switch to a different translation plugin except as a last resort solution.

    If you are not getting the desired behavior with your current translation plugin, I recommend asking for guidance through the dedicated support channel for your current translation plugin. It seems there is some coordination through the plugin between the home page you select in settings and the related Spanish version. This is likely what prevents you from changing page slugs. The support staff for the plugin are in the best position to help you with this situation.
