I can't create any links on my site

  • Since the update to WP 4.1 I can’t add any new links into my pages. It allows me to go through the steps to create the hyperlink, however nothing happens. Is this related to the update? Any ideas on what I can do?

    My site is called truehealthtruelife.com

    I’ve not come across this issue yet. But perhaps try deactivating all the plugins on your site that are currently running. See if you can then add links as you normally would. If this works, then try activating the plugins again one by one to see if perhaps one of them may be causing a conflict. Hope that helps troubleshoot the issue you’re experiencing.

    Hi Will,

    I’ve tried deactivating all the plugins, but still nothing works. I was able to delete a link, but not add any. Is there a difference between deactivating the plugins and deleting them and then reinstalling them?

    Also, I restored my wordpress back to version 4.0.1 and still have the same problem. Not sure what to do!

    I am having the same problem….not being able to add new links since I downloaded WP 4.1 I have tried Will Schmierer’s suggestions and have deactivated each plugin, but nothing helps.
    Did you find a resolution for this?

    Hi, I overcame this by reinstalling WP 4.1 and clearing out the cookies and cache for my browser. It didn’t work until I completely cleared out everything.
    Hope that works!

    Same problem here, with the hyperlinks and being repeatedly kicked out off my admin page. Cleared out everything, problem persists…
    Is there a way to go back to a previous theme? My business is in full season and there is a lot of traffic to my site.
