• Hello everyone

I can’t add new menus but only manage the old ones
If I try to add a new menu from the “create menu” function… I can do the procedure but I can’t save the instructions so it’s impossible to add the new menu
I tried to do the procedure from the theme customization path with the “live preview” function… also in this case at the end of the procedure the menu does not save
    Tried disabling all plugins…same problem
    I changed the theme…same problem
The installation I’m having the issue on is the root domain of a multisite with many linked sites. I checked and everything works fine on subsites that often use the same theme and plugins (I can regularly add new menus).
….. The only thing I can think of might have changed the situation is a plugin I added a few weeks ago to manage one of the menus (max.megamenu) only in this installation but, I repeat, I deactivated it.

    any ideas to help me?
Is there a limit on the menus I can install?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Menus are essentially a special taxonomy term, there’s no practical limit, though you’re ultimately limited by your DB capacity. Not something you’re likely to reach unless you have a gigantic site. You would have all sorts of issues if you got to that point.

Sub-sites run the same core code as the main site, so the problem either lies with the data or your server configuration, not WP core itself. Have you tried creating a menu with a different name? In some cases the use of an existing name can create conflicts. Or certain names can run afoul of server security measures.

It’s possible a plugin could have inadvertently corrupted your data. The problem will persist even if the plugin is removed. In this case your best action is to revert back to a known good backup. Before resorting to such a rather extreme measure, ensure the issue is not some sort of security measure on your server causing interference. For example, modSecurity might need its configuration adjusted.
