• I can’t edit my files on my blog because it shows this:

“You need to make this file writable before you can save your changes. See the Codex for more information.”

I read that Codex, and changed all of my files to have permission 777, but it still didn’t work. What am I doing wrong?

SERIOUSLY? Nobody know at all knows?

Jeez, didn’t think support was THAT bad.

    1) Go change your folders permission back to 755 and your files to 644
before you get hacked. You obviously didn’t spend that much time reading “that Codex”.

    2) Navigate to the specific theme file you want to edit from the wordpress editor and chmod ONLY that file to 777. Put it back when you are done. If that fails, CONTINUE reading the codex until you get to the part about using an ftp client, and editing files locally or live from your client or file manager.

    3) Really? I mean really? You think that’s the issue?
