I can't edit my main page

I have a static website but I added a wordpress site to show one page ‘downloads’. on this page I had everything i wanted but for some reason I noticed in google search it had a blog page showing. at first I thought it was a cached page from my initial set up but google informed me it was live.
So I went into my dashboard to try and delete the page but deleted the main page from the dashboard. anyways the main page is still showing online but without the content I had there before. I cant see the page in the dashboard to edit it. the content I had there is gone and when I try to create a page it is now a different page with a different url. How can I edit the main page?
