I can’t even begin to understand why this isn’t more popular

This is a very complete plugin, that on top of this, seamlessly (and for free) integrates with other prominent community plugins out there.
So many plugins will make you pay for integrations with other plugins, but this one does it for free, and makes accessible basic features instead of gatekeeping them and forcing you to cough up a small fortune for it.
It’s a lot better, more modern and better organised and more intuitive than BuddyPress is, and I can’t understand why it isn’t more widely used. You can actually edit pages and forms, import/export users, the plugin provides short codes, etc. The profiles look modern, again a lot of features that are normally gate kept behind paywalls are there right out of the box, etc. It’s multi-functional, and so far useful.
