I can't find the Wordfence plugin

I know I’m only a woman. I know that I am very tired. I know that my nerves are frayed BUT I’m not so stupid that I should be unable to find a plugin when I want one. Really. I.Am.Not.Stupid – so please do not think me so.
Please, how do I get hold of the Wordfence plugin (free version) ? My queries return only two add-ons for Wordfence, not the actual plugin as promised on the plugin’s site “go to Plugins > Add New and do a search for ‘wordfence’ without quotes.”
“Found it? Great.” NO!!
My query returns only Wordfence Assistant and Wordfence Security – Live Traffic Admin Widget, both of which say that they are add-ons.
A tag search here doesn’t find the plugin either. Am I going mad?
The Wordfence site does not provide a Contact route for a wannabe (free) user to get help.
I have an infestation and badly need help to clean it. I’ll probably buy the product if testing the free version impresses, but where do I get it from in order to try it?
