I can’t get it to work: images not resizing to square

I installed this plugin hoping, the script would help me solve the issue related to the cut off in my product images in shop catalog.

But I can’t get it to work. I tried multiple settings, regeneration specific images, but still the counter keep mentioning I only generated 1 image out of 150.
