I can’t get photos to upload

  • I can’t get photos to upload into my media library. I get the message, “Error saving media attachment”. My photos are 42k and they’re jpg.

  • Check if the upload folder is writable. If it is I would check the PHP upload limit. If it suffices, normally 2 MB, I would check the Server error log for a better error description.

    Change the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767 or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK.

    Where do I find the Server error log?

    Ask your hosts.
