Please help! I decideed to move my Blogger blog to my own host using wordpress. I had not done the redirects from my hosting service yet because I am not ready to go public with the new blog format while I tinker with it but I could not preview it as it would just go to the domain that I own which has a tired old webpage. So I did something in the general setting in the hopes that I could see how it was looking, and now I cannot get to my dashboard to edit anything on the blog or remove plug-ins or ANYTHING else AT ALL because it keeps redirecting to a broken page on my domain! PLEASE HELP!
I was so excited to be able to move my blog but now I cannot even get at the dashboard to do anything it is like I wasted the last 12 hours of my life for nothing. I am sort of freaking out a little here, please tell me if there is something I can type in the spot in general settings that would fix it because that is the only part of my dasboard I have access to right now and I only got THAT by using my browser’s “back” button because if I click on ANYTHING in the dashboard, I just keep getting redirected to the screwed up non-functioning version of my blog.
I am so frustrated I even typoed my own username to register just to be able to ask for help here, and then WordPress mocked me by asking why I registered when I am already logged in. Sigh.

Thank you for responding! I tried that last night and it still doesn’t work. I had not gone ‘live’ with the blog yet so my host, after helping me install worrdpress, tech support at my hosting company had me going to marezilla.com/index.php to get to my dashboard as the regular “marezilla.com” url goes to an old web page that my new blog will be replacing. Now when I click to do anything, I get re-directed here:
    https://marezilla.com/index/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fmarezilla.com%2Fwp-admin%2Foptions-general.php&reauth=1
After trying it again but telling it in the php file to go to:
    https://marezilla.com/index.php
It now goes to that old webpage that I’ll be replacing with my blog (if I can ever get my dashboard back) but doing anything from the one tab I have that little useless piece of my dashboard in still goes tot he redirect insanity.
The only access I have to my dashboard is from my “back” button and it is only the page with “general settings” that I can look at, clicking anything else goes to the redirect. I am afraid to close my browser because I may never get back in! But changing anything in “general settings” and saving does nothing but send me to a redirect page. I edited the php using filezilla as suggested, but there is no change.
Is there a “for dummies” way to fix it?
Would having my host remove wordpress altogether and then install a fresh download be helpful at this point?
I have Hostway so there was no “five minute installation”, it was more like five hours and even the tech support people had a hard time.
Should I be typing something else when I edit the php code? I am so confused.

Would having my host remove wordpress altogether and then install a fresh download be helpful at this point?

Given the “changes” that your host made, I think that’s your only real solution.

Thank you so very much for getting back to me so quickly! I don’t know if the “changes” are from them, I think I am the ding-a-ling who screwed it all up, but I will call them and ask them to take it out and put up a new one so I can hopefully start over and NOT screw it up next time. ??
    Wish me luck!
    Thanks again!

Thank you again for your help! After many hours and much tinkering on my part and that of the very nice tech support people at Hostway, I got it all fixed up and the blog is live exactly where I wanted it to be. ??

    Thank you so very much.
