  • Hi @lesterleandro1966

    My WooCommerce installation stopped working.

error saying: Installation failed: folder already exists

As a first step, please navigate to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory, and rename the woocommerce folder to woocommerce-old

    Then try reinstalling afresh.

The other way is to uninstall WooCommerce completely and reinstall it afresh.

Normally, when you uninstall WooCommerce, only the plugin is deleted but your settings and other data (orders, products, etc) persist in a database. It takes an additional destructive step to delete everything. We’ve explained further in this guide: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/installing-uninstalling-woocommerce/#uninstalling-woocommerce.

    * Important: We recommend making a full backup of your site and database before making major changes. You could consider using a service like Jetpack or installing a plugin like UpdraftPlus. If something goes wrong you can restore your site to the previous state.

Let us know how it goes.

To fully remove all WooCommerce data from your WordPress site, open your site’s wp-config.php file.

I don’t know how to navigate inside the site files, help me please

    Hello,

You will need to access the WooCommerce folder or wp-config.php file via FTP. If you are not familiar with FTP, you can contact your hosting provider, and they should be able to assist you.

We’ve not heard back from you in a while, so I’m marking this thread as resolved. Hopefully, the above info was helpful and you were able to proceed as advised.
