    It has been some time since I used this blog site and found I couldn’t access the dashboard to update it.

    I type in the URL/wp-admin and see

    Warning: include_once() [function.include-once]: Filename cannot be empty in /home/*******/public_html/wp-content/themes/semiologic/inc/inc.php on line 24

    Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening ” for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/*******/public_html/wp-content/themes/semiologic/inc/inc.php on line 24

    I’ve uploaded another inc.php to that folder but nothing has changed. I’m not confident with php and would be grateful for some help.

  • Ftp into your server and rename the /wp-content/themes/semiologic folder.

    You may be the result of the template is not compatible, try switching back to the original template

    Many thanks for your suggestions, but they don’t seem to have worked. I uploaded and over saved the semiologic folder, but same messages. And as I can’t get to the dash board I cant change the theme.
    What would happen if I just deleted it. Would WP default back to it’s default? Would that help me get into the dashboard?

    Yes

    Would that help me get into the dashboard?

    It should do. The problem is within that theme. Deactivating it should clear the problem.

    You Star Esmi!! that did the trick. Thank you for the extremely clear – idiot proof instructions. Do feel insecure with all this
