I cant log in into backpanel…..i get database error??

  • hi…i recently updated to 2.6.2 and now i cant even log into to my site??

    i get the following error…….(hundreds of these)

    WordPress database error: [Duplicate entry ‘1’ for key 1]
    INSERT INTO wp_terms (term_id, name, slug, term_group) VALUES (1, ‘celebrity news’, ‘celebrity-news’, 0)

    WordPress database error: [Duplicate entry ‘1-category’ for key 2]
    INSERT INTO wp_term_taxonomy (term_id, taxonomy, description, parent, count) VALUES ( 1, ‘category’, ”, 0, 20051)

    WordPress database error: [Duplicate entry ‘2’ for key 1]
    INSERT INTO wp_terms (term_id, name, slug, term_group) VALUES (2, ‘Links’, ‘links’, 0)

    any ideas how to fix??

  • you clicked to install twice, that’s simple… you have to drop all the existing content of your database to install it once… but wait for the end of the process….

    how do i do this?…..its been like this for days….

    isnt the process over yet?

    Use the phpmyadmin tool in your control panel and drop all database tables or delete the database and create a new one. Run the installer again and be patient.

    if i do this…will i lose all my content??…i have hundreds of posts….site has 2 years worth of content……
