I installed the free version and configured it locally to test configurations. But when I deployed to production, it doesn’t let me enter the homepage of my portal. It downloads a file, which I opened to see that it is the index. I reverted everything and even deactivated the plugin and put the default configuration in the .htaccess, but the problem persists. It still downloads the index.

    Hi,
Sorry for the issue, apparently something interfered with your server environment. When removing ( or deactivating) the plugin and clearing the .htaccess file, everything should revert to how it worked before.
If that didn’t happen for you, there must be a cache on the server side, can you clear that?
Also, some servers like LiteSpeed, require an Apache restart after changing the .htaccess.
What server type do you run?

    Thanks

    Hi,

It is an Apache, I installed a WAMPServer to make local tests.

    Hi,
The WAMPServer has no impact on the actual issue since it runs on your local host. I think the problem is the PHP/Apache config, possibly you changed anything in the configuration by mistake? Can you check if your Apache config still has a SetHandler for the PHP files, see more details here
It is possible that such a line could have existed inside your .htaccess file.
Is this your server or maybe there is a service you use?

    Thanks

Thank you very much for your response. I installed Apache and it worked, but I’ll still investigate on another server that is giving me the same problem. I’ll check the configuration and I’ll let you know if anything comes up. Thank you again.
