    Well, as Avada Theme is premium, i cannot give any support about it as i can’t see the source code.

    Try to switch to the twentytwelve theme to see if the trouble is really linked to the theme. As this part is the one of the wp_editor, it’s possible a javascript conflict with a plugin or a custom function avoids WordPress to load its editor.
