I can’t update the Wordfence Plugin. I’ve tried many times, but I keep getting this error:

“Update Failed: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions.”

I would just delete and install the plugin again, but I am a premium member, and I don’t want to go through the hassle of getting a new key and proving I am a premium person unless I have to.

    Any ideas?

A few people have had similar trouble because of the config cache file when trying to update — in your Wordfence options, near the bottom of the page, turn on “Disable config caching” and save the settings, then try to update again.

If it still won’t update, you might need to manually remove the file at:
    wp-content/plugins/wordfence/tmp/configCache.php

This has fixed the few that I know of, but let us know if you still have trouble.
