i cant workout how to set wordpress up

  • hi there

    i am wanting to use www.ads-software.com but its asking me to install it on the drive etc.

    I can not for the life of me work out the magical 5 minute set up process.

    My story is. I will be coming from squarespace so already have an established website the last 2 years.

    My understanding is I cant start wordpress without transferring over first? is this right.
    I really wanted to be able to have it all set up and then transfer the domain over last so its only a few hours of being off line with the switch over is this not possible?

    please help thank you

  • To use the download from www.ads-software.com you must either install on your hosting plan or locally on your hard drive using a server package like MAMP, WAMP, XAMP.

    After the 5 minute install (assuming you have an idea of what you are doing). You will need to either use the default theme that is installed with WordPress or install one that you downloaded.

    Some themes have eCommerce built in and some do not and will require plugins to handle the store functionality and payment options.

    Just like @jaycbrf said, you can instal WordPress via www.ads-software.com and run it locally with for example WAMP.

    You can literally make the whole web offline and then just transfer it online.
