I deleted all data off my website and it’s slower than ever before

  • Hello everybody,

    This is my second time writing in this forum. I need help with the following issue.

    I want to totally redesign my clients website, so I deleted all pages/posts/media and other data from the website in order to start fresh.

    But then I noticed something, my website is visibly a LOT slower, takes forever to upload small sized files, some files such as .svg and files for elementor fonts now won’t even upload and I get an error message.

    How is it that my website is so much slower with no data or content when compared with its previous version when it had data and content?

    I am urgently looking for help as I am nearing my deadline and this causes me many problems.

  • Hello, Budo0. Please provide the following:

    1. The error message you get.
    2. Whether you’re hosting on Windows or Linux.
    3. The domain, if possible.

    Did you use a different database or the same 1? Perhaps starting over completely by using a different 1 might help, but let’s see the error message first.

    Your database is probably all fragmented. Have you optimized your database since you deleted a lot of data?
