The interface, for the new editor, is very challenging to use. Things are hidden and difficult to find. WP had to create many pages (that are difficult to follow) just to try and explain the new editor. There’s no step-by-step explanation as to how to use it. If you had been a long-time user of the previous editor, this new format just makes building a site, accessing and adding menus, etc., etc. a difficult process. I feel that if WordPress wanted to role this out (in one shot as they did with the Twenty Twenty Two theme), which they have been working towards for a long time, they should have done a much better job of it. I’m disappointed in most aspects of the new block editing system they created. Not the block editor itself, but how it is implemented, how the old items were just removed from under appearance, etc. I took lots of screenshots with many notes. But I didn’t want to post them here since that wouldn’t be helpful. I just hope they reconsider this initiative and put more emphasis on how the UI is presented, how they offer the training and documentation for the new editor to the community.
