• First time i am facing this king of a plugin behavior. And i have dozens of plugins used in the last 10 years.
Plugin installed and i had chose the most simple configuration, to be as much safer as i can.

Fore several days plugin worked fine, but suddenly i saw a notice with red text “performance update” and i clicked to see what is this about….

I did not really understand what was this button for, after this process theme was messed up and lost all my edits. Theme was “restored” , logo , header and footer options and colors…

Fortunately i had a full site back up and i restore it, but as i mention i do not like this kind of plugin behaviors.

I prefer to use plugins that i can trust and i hate this kind of surprises. Especially when i am not “tuning” with some advanced options , how can i trust this plugin and make the next upgdate without facing the same issues? I am using flatsome theme.

    Hello @tabletshd

First of all, thank you for your review and I hope that we can get to the bottom of the issue you are experiencing so you can hopefully change your review.

Fore several days plugin worked fine, but suddenly I saw a notice with red text “performance update” and I clicked to see what is this about….

I’ve checked, double-checked, and tripple-checked, and W3 Total Cache does not print a notice “performance update”
So it would be great if you could specify where you saw the notice and please confirm that you are not using any other caching solution which may cause conflict.
Can you also please share your website URL?
Please let me know more details so I can assist you with this.
    Thanks!

    Clarification:

Could it be the OP refers to the red Upgrade Performance in the Performance dropdown menu in the admin bar when in the dashboard?

    Hello @blamedutchie

The Upgrade Performance button is for the version of the plugin. What it does is redirect the user to the Plugin Upgrade page.
    Thanks!
