    Hi @aj20152015,

Sorry to know that you are experiencing an issue.

Forminator notification email uses the default WordPress function, wp_mail(), to send notification emails. If the general emails like WordPress password reset emails are working, Formianator notification emails should work fine.

Could you please try using an Email Log plugin, https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/email-log/, and check if there are any errors reported?

Please also try configuring SMTP on your website and check if that helps. Our plugin Branda can help you with configuring SMTP. I hope the following guide comes in handy: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/branda/#smtp

Let us know the results so that we can help you further.

    Kind Regards,
    Nebu John

    Hi @aj20152015

    Thank you for the update,

This indicates that the wp_mail() is working well, by default Forminator uses the native WordPress email function.

The best solution would be to try the SMTP suggestion:

Please also try configuring SMTP on your website and check if that helps. Our plugin Branda can help you with configuring SMTP. I hope the following guide comes in handy: https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/branda/#smtp

Let us know the result you got.

    Hi @aj20152015,

I hope you are doing well today!

This issue might be related to the email client rendering the HTML codes incorrectly, you can try testing the email on different email clients by sending the email to yourself and open it on various email clients (such as Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc.) to see if the HTML codes display correctly on all of them. This will help determine if the issue is specific to a particular email client.

Please also review the settings of the email client where you are experiencing the problem. Look for any settings related to how emails are displayed or rendered, and adjust them if necessary to see if it resolves the issue.

Sometimes, clearing the cache of the email client can help in resolving display issues. Try clearing the cache and reloading the email to see if the HTML content displays correctly.

      Kind regards,
      Zafer

I am using a gmail as recipient, and it’s gmail itself which is displaying the message incorrectly by not parsing the html codes. How do you think I can clear Google server cache? We have never faced this before and a simple search itself in the your support forum is showing several persons encountered it. We did not change anything on settings too.

      Hi @aj20152015,

I am using a gmail as recipient, and it’s gmail itself which is displaying the message incorrectly by not parsing the html codes.?

Could we know whether you tried to send it to different email recipients to see if the issue is the same for everyone? This would help in ruling out in case the Email Inbox is set as Plain text or not.

simple search itself in the your support forum is showing several persons encountered it

However, the above doesn’t confirm the issue is within the Forminator side as there isn’t any setting in the plugin to change how the emails are sent unless there is any custom code added on your side.

Could we know whether the issue is specific to Forminator emails? Do other emails sent from the website side behave the same with HTML codes in them?

Could you please check and see whether the above helps in ruling out? If not, please do share the form export so that we can have a better idea.

Please check the following doc on how to export a form:

      https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#import-export

If you are concerned about any sensitive information in the form, then you can duplicate your form, remove any sensitive information, and then export it.

You can share the export file via Google Drive, Dropbox or any cloud service in the next reply.

      Looking forward to your response.

      Best Regards,

      Nithin

Other recipients also are having the same issue. Email received are being displayed as HTML codes. Attached is the link for one of the form export.

      Hi @aj20152015

Hope this message finds you well and thanks for sharing the form.

After temporarily exporting it to my test site I was not able to reproduce the issue. I am getting the Forminator Pro >> Email Notifications as Text with no HTML tags in a Gmail account combined with Branda SMTP feature as well.

      https://prnt.sc/z7_5toA5bDa8

Are you using Branda >> Emails >> SMTP? If not, would you let us know which SMTP plugin are you using? Thank you.

      Best regards,
      Laura
