I don’t do business with spammers
-
I’d give them 0 stars if I could, since I just got spam pushing this plugin.
NO, I will NOT do business with you or any other company that uses spam to drum up business.
“Webpushr guarantees a 100% increase in repeat visits for sites like” mine? Sure: by spamming visitors’ notifications. Nope: not for me — I respect my readers WAY too much to unleash that sort of garbage on them.
How about letting your work speak for you, rather than spam? That’s how LEGITIMATE businesses, such as mine, do it. Instead, spam speaks for you: you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem.
P.S. to moderator Marius L.J.: fair enough! Thanks for your note.
12/22/20 Update: I want to say I appreciate that my simple review caused the company to IMMEDIATELY rethink their marketing and pledge to stop using spam. I give them great credit for doing that, and so quickly. They also asked me to retract this review. My answer to that as the author of the Internet Spam Primer is no, and I fully explain why in my blog.
Please don’t EVER do business with spammers, but I do believe Webpushr when they say they won’t do it again, as reinforced by their founder and CEO’s email, reproduced in my blog post.
