• I am trying to edit my website: https://www.kriscalvin.com

Unfortunately, due to a database glitch when I switch to HostMonster hosting (and a WordPress interface), my administrator account got deleted. Now I have one account that only has Author privileges. I cannot edit anything but posts and pages with this account.

I went into the backend of my website through HostMonster and the pspMyAdmin section to try to add a new administrator account. I was able to add the admin account, but I cannot get the account to have administrative privileges.

I followed the instructions from this website first: https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/create-a-wordpress-admin-user-for-a-wordpress-site-via-mysql-6649

When that didn’t work, I tried following these instructions: https://www.dnawebagency.com/how-to-add-an-admin-user-to-wordpress-database/

It’s still not working. I now have an admin account (that is the username), but it doesn’t have administrative privileges. It has no privileges at all. This account does not even have a Dashboard and I can’t even edit the profile.

I am really struggling here to figure this out. Any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated!
