    Hi all!
I’ve just uploaded wp to my hosting (ferca.com) but I get the next error:
“It doesn’t look like you’ve installed WP yet. Try running install.php.”.
    When I click on install.php, I get:
“You don’t have permission to access /wp-admin/install.php on this server.”
?Problems with my hosting or it’s my fault?
    thanks

have a look at the permissions of wp-admin and install.php (with your ftp-prog)

Check with your host to make sure that php is set up normally on your server space. If so, then try reuploading a fresh downloaded distro – just in case something might have got corrupted during the first upload.

If that still doesn’t help, see if your host has a “one click install” (fantastico or such-like) available, and see what happens with that.

I suspect it is a hosting issue that they are not letting you run php files? Do you have other php files on the server?

PHP files are running. The output is from running index.php.
It’s a host issue. Is the domain just set up? If so, you may just need to wait a bit. If you’ve had it a while, email your host and describe the problem.

In the control panel of my hosting, says that PHP scripts doesn’t need special permissions, but mod_php is configured in safe mode, so if I need PHP-CGI scripts or applications that install something, I need permissions (770) (but that is done). Besides, I need to create a .htaccess file with the command: Options ExecCGI.
I have just emailed them for further information.
    cheers!
