SEO typically takes lots of time and effort and, as you correctly pointed out, the simple fact of installing an SEO plugin can’t have immediate and magic results. Additionally, Google Rankings depend on hundreds of different factors (page speed, site content, mobile versions, etc.), most of which fall outside of the plugin’s scope.
Yoast SEO (like any other SEO plugin) is just a tool that helps you optimize your website, and there’re aspects that the plugin can’t do automatically for you. For example, the plugin requires users to do some work themselves, for example, entering focus keyphrases, optimizing SEO titles and meta descriptions, as well as the content itself, etc. This work is not done automatically by the plugin and must be done by users.
