I’m coming from squarespace, where I just put a button in that says “Pay” and it goes straight to a stripe/paypayl page.

Apparently that’s not how it works in wordpress. Can someone tell me how to get a button to link to a payment process? I need the customers to be able to type the price in based on invoices I send them, no established products.

    Hi there,

    Thank you for reaching out!

Indeed, with WooCommerce by default the sale is not possible without an actual product.

You could create a product with visibility set to hidden, then manually create a new order from WooCommerce >> Orders, add the product and hit “re-calculate”, add your user’s email address and billing/shipping data, set the order status to “Pending payment” and then select “Email invoice/order details to customer” from Order Actions.

Your customer will receive an email with a payment link which will take them to the payment page on your site, as long as Stripe or a different payment gateway plugin/payment method is added and configured.

You might also be able to find a third-party plugin which works more in a way you’ve described.

    I hope this helps!
