I don’t understand how to make the same slider how on a template demo (https://demo.alxmedia.se/x/? to theme=Hueman) — help, please.
I read documentation, I noted all necessary checkbox in settings of a template, I created entry in the section “Image”, I added files from a media library there. But I don’t know what to do farther that the slider turned out :((

  • Hi Allpa. In Theme Options > Blog set the Featured Post Count to more than one.

bdbrown, I made everything as it was written to documentation! And about what you speaks, too I made, but the slider didn’t appear. It would be desirable that documentation was more detailed — it is necessary to guess much simply.

Please post a link to your site so we can see the issue. Thanks.

Here link to the homepage: https://allpa.ru
The category is chosen, three posts are chosen.

Are you using a static page for your home page?

    I tried different options.
I chose in the wordpress settings static pages for the Homepage and the Blog.
I chose also “your last posts”.
The slider all the same doesn’t appear.
In the first case Homepage is empty, the Blog page all my records are visible.
In the second case on Homepage all my posts are displayed, and the Blog page becomes empty.

Please set it back to “Your latest posts”, refresh your site and let me know when that’s done.

I do it now. You can look: https://allpa.ru
Here that is interesting: on the homepage the only post is displayed — the category of this post is not featured! I thought that matter in Cyrillics and appointed to three posts the category “category1” and appointed it as featured (you watch a screenshot: https://s020.radikal.ru/i701/1506/7f/853ccae05020.png).
But always same: the only one post on Homepage and absolutely foreign category.

The flexslider container exists but it is not being correctly populated due to this error:

Uncaught TypeError: jQuery(…).flexslider is not a function

My guess is you have a jquery or javascript conflict, probably with one of your plugins, that is keeping the flexslider script from running.

    Oh…
you are right! I now removed everything that added in the file header.php, removed everything that was necessary for work of my scripts — the slider earned!
    Thanks!
Now it is necessary to understand what exactly disturbs and why…
And somehow in general it is possible to solve this problem, without deleting scripts? Because all of them are necessary to me ??

Add them back one at a time until the slider disappears. Then you’ll know which script is causing the problem. If you need all the scripts then you might consider disabling the theme slider and using one of the plugins described in this article.

Everything is all right, I understood, in what a problem: in a line
    <script type="text/javascript" src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.0/jquery.min.js"></script>
    The line was superfluous!
    Thanks a lot!
Forgive, please, that I took away from you so much time because of own mistake — it is so a shame to me!
I adore you, I love Нueman!!!
