  • Hi Emre,

It’s not possible to revert back to the older page. The new page was made after a lot of effort and research from the community, to make it look better and useful for all the users. I understand, the change can be a little hard to accept but you’ll get used to it and would start liking it soon.

Anyway, feedbacks are always appreciated, so if you have a feedback for the new plugin page then feel free to let us know. ??

I see that a lot effort of WP Team for confusing the users.

First of all, all the users who worked on the design are WordPress users, just like you and me. And second, the design wasn’t done in a day without any research. It was based on all the user feedback collected on Survey, Slack and everywhere. It wasn’t done by one person to satisfy his/her needs, but was public for everyone else to join in and contribute.

If you want to join in the process and contribute to the design/meta, you can join in the process and get involved: https://make.www.ads-software.com/ ??

I am not designer. I am not better than wp team surely. Just no need to remove tabs. WP team wanna show all the information on the one page. Just they need to add tabs. that’s all.

Get used to the new design…? ??

Emre, I am joking. I know you get that (we’ve interacted before) but I’m writing that for others.

The plugins team has been publicizing this change for a while and has solicited feedback.

    There’s a Revamp Coming

See this tag link for all the notices.

That does not mean your and others input after the fact isn’t useful but please try and make a case for improvements. Just rolling back or asking how your plugin page can go back may not be that useful.

Why not do this: give your ideas and criticism some thought. Once you’ve gotten it all organized then please post a topic in Requests and Feedback.

Changes like this aren’t rolled back but if you can provide some ideas about how to further improve it then a topic like that may be valuable.

I don’t wanna make the wp team sad but new design idea is unnecessary. The developer are not interested in the design. The previous design is good enough.

    My idea
The strategy is wrong so we cannot make better the result with some tactics if the strategy is wrong.

    Hiya,

You’ve got it a bit backwards there, you may feel that developers don’t want a new design (and that may be true), but the plugin directory is first and foremost for the users.

The new directory moves us to a new platform (we’re now using WordPress, which makes it possible to further create enhancements that were not possible with the old platform), this is great for developers as we can now create more tools to help you.

We also get to utilize the screen real-estate better, we’ve cleaned up the display and organized information based on what a user would find relevant and in order of importance for the majority of users. Goign away from tabs is also better from an accessibility point of view, which is a major plus, accessibility is king ??

I got it. WP follows Google Play and App Store. No tab and one page.

The tabs have been added now ?? We are not Apple or Google. We must think different from them because our users are webmaster.
