• So being new to WordPress I thought a great way to build a site would be to download a theme that is similar to what I need and edit it for my purpose. It has turned out very good – except in the footer.php the original designed has there credit and link. I do not want to take anything away from them but my client does not want this there.

So the problem is I cannot edit the footer, they have somehow locked it. What would be the proper think for me to do here – contact the designer and ask them if I can remove it, or because I have changed it so much, can someone tell me how to remove it, or at least edit it so it is not so prominent in the design, maybe underneath or something.

    Thanks.
