I like, and love, this plugin, it is a really great tool to the developer and webmaster.
The decision of making the plugin paid, is ok with me; but i feel betrayed when you decide to remove what you already provided to the community free before. This is like making a gift to someone, then charging money to that someone after. This is not really a good move.
In my opinion, you should not remove the already existing features, make a version 8.1, you only provide security fixes to it, maybe minor bugs fixes. You don’t enhance nor improve existing features. That way, many sites that depend on your great work don’t get broken, and the users are not forced to pay a ransom to keep their websites online.
And people don’t break their sites by mistake.
You can also put the code on github or something, so people can contribute to mantain the free version.

    Hi cablop,

Thank you for taking the time to write and express your thoughts about the removal of features notification. I also appreciate that you really like (and love) the CJT plugin – I am sincerely pleased to hear that.
You know, I have read a number of CJT free users telling me that they are not happy with the planned move, so I am currently not moving forward with that for a while. In fact, I am even considering not going ahead with the plan entirely. I no longer feel it is a good idea to try to get conversions to the premium via the removal of features. So there has to be better ways.
This project, which started out as an idea whilst driving nearly 5 years ago has been entirely bootstrapped using my own funds, and I would really like to keep the project moving forward. I wish I was a stronger coder than designer. ??

Thanks again for your time and suggestions.

    Regards,
    Damian

I’m a coder, and good in coding. I have some experience with WordPress… so i think i can help with coding for this plugin. I think many others would like to help too.
And how can you say you are not that good coder with this impressive plugin?
