• I tried to be super patient over a long period of time to try to get my issues resolved. I’m in software so I get it, its not east. They support is terrible, the response time is awful. If you use this for Soccer – you’ll love it. Any other sport, good luck.

    I asked for a refund within the window as they have a “guarantee” – guess what, I haven’t heard back at all. $99 out the window as I cannot use this for golf (actually disc golf) I spent countless hours adding rounds, player data, tables freeze, don’t work, can’t update. Nothing is consistent, tons of bugs. I offered my time to help them QA, provide feedback, gave them admin access to my site and wordpress – they never logged in

    I got my whole league excited for this, they loved the stats, and now I look foolish.

    If you have 5 friends and that’s all you are going to do, it’ll be great. Do NOT use this for a real league, with real payouts, and real people that care.

    I’m sorry for the poor experience you had with our plugin. I appreciate all your detailed feedback and patience as we looked into possible causes for the issues you mentioned.

    I was under the impression that you were going to try increasing your PHP input vars limit as discussed in our thread, did this not work out for you?

    Looking at the support logs, I can see that you’ve reached out to the team many times with little feedback in return. I understand that this must be frustrating, but please bear with us as longer emails tend to take much longer to process while the team asks around to get an answer for each and every question asked.

    Please keep in mind that while our email team handles one-to-one private support and account-related queries, there are designated channels for other purposes:

    • GitHub – Bug reports and issue tracking for core functionality
    • Slack – SportsPress development, integrations and code discussion
    • Ideaboard – Feature requests and community-based user feedback

    That said, our support staff are always more than happy to process any refunds that have been requested within the 30-day window so there shouldn’t be any problem with this. I have also pinged them to make sure they haven’t missed any recent requests.

    Once they’re able to resolve your account-related issues, I hope you’ll reconsider the score you’ve given us for this plugin.

    Thanks and they did give me the refund, AFTER this review popped up. So thank you. I’m a very reasonable person, I’m patient, I understand software, design through development as I’ve been doing it for over 20 years now. Its not easy, there are always customers you can never satisfy, I’m not one of those – if 3-5 things get fixed/added – response times go up, I have no issues chaning my score. But this wasn’t meant as a “threat” to get things accomplished. It was an honest review at the time due to everything that has gone on. I appreciate your candid and honest response.

    I did increase my PHP input vars limits as was suggested, but it didn’t work. I tried to enter scores from my Tuesday league the other night. After 3 attempts and 4 hours – I finally gave up. None of the auto calculating stuff worked. So I just forced it and wrote it all in by hand and did the math with a calculator manually. So it really is nothing more then a spreadsheet plugin at this point =( Its gonna be a long season for me.

    Remember while I’m completely dissatisfied with the Golf app – I’m guessing other sports are great. I offered to work with development and donate hours of my time as I design software for a living and have intimate knowledge of running tournaments and leagues. That offer is still on the table!! I want this to be awesome, I want leagues/courses/etc everywhere to use this, I want to be able to promote it. My players LOVE the stats and being able to see it all live on the web. Tracking season stats is unheard of….. You tell us to use the feature request board, but nothing will ever be upvoted enough to get enough attention because of smaller % of people that use golf (or Disc Golf in my case) Which is why in the end I ultimately asked for the refund.

    So – I want to make sure people reading this review understand that it is NOT about the core product which is probably awesome, it’s just the Golf part of it. And for smaller, easy leagues – it might even work. But for me, running weekly leagues (multiple pools), Tournaments from AM to PRO, Singles, doubles scoring (no support at all) constantly having no trust if the data will be saved, it if I will lose something, if something go wrong, if something won’t calculate properly – I can’t afford to lose that time.

    Thanks for the response, and as I said – if needed I will help where I can in terms of proper layouts, procedures, how it’s all run in terms of Golf/Disc golf – heck you can even get another sport in your tags with Disc Golf with a few changes =)

    I’m up and running on slack! Let me know what you want to do and when, as I said – I’m online a ton, so we can discuss anything at anytime.

    I really look forward to working with you and the team and see if we can get golf to a place where it can become a hot seller! I’ll even run usability testing on it, gather feedback, etc as that’s where 1/2 my expertise lies and what I do for my daily job anyway. We use UserVoice as well so the feedback model is the same =)

    I’ll search golf and go through all the feedback that’s there on golf specifically and we can start to prioritize.
