I get a blank page when i try design category in a child theme

  • Hi,

    I have done a child theme.

    And i want to design a category, just a simple background and I read that I just copy the category file from the parent folder and put it in my child theme. But when I do that all categorie pages become all blank. And I haven’t even touched the code.

    Anyone who knows what I can do?

  • You should only need to edit the stylesheet for the child theme if you just want to add a background.

    But I have one front page background and the</I have white background for the pages, and want the same for categories as for pages, but it shows the background from the front-page?

    How do I change that? Thanks

    I can change it for the other ones, but to change it for the categories, I need to go in to category.php and add a class, and then when i upload it – everything turns blank?

    Even if i just transfer category.php -without changing the file doesnt work, everything just turns blank?
