I got to many indexed pages…

    The problem with my wordpress blog is that, after posting for a while, it got indexed by Google.
    All I vant to be indexed is the main page, wich is located in /wordpress/index.php.
    In Google search appear around 15 pages of the same blog. Is the any chance to force Google index only the main page (not the history, not rss feed, wich it say is unsuported, but still indexed).
    Be aware: my site has adult content (but no pics).

  • This is not WordPress related, but try to google for “robots.txt”. This text file is stored in your webservers root and can contain advices for webcrawlers (such as googlebot) to only visit specific pages and ignore the rest.

    Go to https://www.submitcorner.com/Guide/Meta/robots.shtml. You want to put the meta tag <META name=”Robots” content=”index,nofollow”>. This will tell search engines to only index the front page and not any subsequent ones. Also, as suggested above, make a robots.txt file and upload it to your the root of your webpage.

    I already have a robots.txt, but that is located in the main directory, while the blog in “wordpress” subdirectory.
    How should I write:
    User-agent *
    Disallow /wordpress/
    That will prevent the whole directory not to be indexed…
