Cannot connect to any of the social network platforms. Facebook gives an error when trying to connect: “App not activeThis app is not accessible right now and the app developer is aware of the issue. You will be able to log in when the app is reactivated.”

Tumblr and Twitter/X doesn’t even have the option enabled to connect.

The only network I can connect to at this time is Linkedin which isn’t worth the installation of this plugin.

Maybe release something that is working first. This is how game developers release their products and shouldn’t be how plugin developers release their plugins.

I may come back later when it’s actually working because aside from it not working the look of it is really nice. And the features (if they actually worked) are exactly what we’re looking for.

    Hello @macsopinion

It is a very early version of Bit Social (beta), which is still in development. While we have made significant efforts to assure stability and operation, some specific bugs or errors may still exist!

We will officially release our plugin very soon. We initially released the Beta version of this plugin on WordPress to make sure that we were following all of the guidelines that WordPress suggested.

Here we provided two options for integrating social media accounts. The first one is to click the “Connect Button”. For this option, we have to approve our app from the dedicated platforms and we already applied for the Facebook developer app which is on review. The second one is the “Custom App” method where you have to enter your personal app credentials and then you are good to go to make integrations and schedule posts. For Twitter and Tumblr you have to follow the second option.

    Thank You.

Please check the note (for the beta version). This note is added to the first section of the plugin description.

Additionally, the plugin has been updated with Google Business Profile integration, which allows you to post directly, auto post, and schedule to your Google Business Profile.

I get that it’s in Beta. I get that there can be glitches and errors that come with using Beta applications. But what I mentioned isn’t a glitch or error. What I mentioned is that nothing works. (Except for LinkedIn) You can’t use it unless you want to create an API yourself on Facebook or Tumblr or PAY for an API on Twitter/X which goes against the whole “No programming needed” clause you have in your pitch on the description of this plugin.

Releasing something (Even if it’s in BETA) there should be some functionality for users to say, “Hey, this is great.” but what I get is , “what the heck am I supposed to do with this?”

From what I saw in the admin part of the plugin I will admit that it does look nice, but unfortunately I didn’t install it just to stare at the Admin settings. The idea of the plugin is intriguing, and like I said previously, I will probably try it again when it is actually functioning like it is supposed to.

So, once I can use this to auto post to Facebook, X, and Tumblr (which are the really important ones IMO) with this plugin, I will give it another go.

    Hello Macsopinion,

Thank you for using Bit Social and sharing your feedback! I want to clarify that the version you tested was our Beta version, Now, the production version has been released.

The issue you encountered when connecting to Facebook through the “Connect” method was due to the app being labeled as “App not active” while awaiting approval from the Facebook App Review team.

I’m pleased to inform you that the app is now fully approved and active, so you should be able to connect to Facebook with the one-click authorization button.

Regarding Twitter’s “Connect” option, please note that Twitter’s APIs are paid, and we currently do not have plans to implement the one-click authorization method for Twitter.

However, we are excited to announce that you can now easily connect to Tumblr via the “Connect” option!

You can use Bit Social now; everything is working fine now. Thanks again.

Thanks for the update. I am happy with the way it looks, but to be completely honest… I get it for free with the Jetpack plugin for all the social media platforms that are currently working with this plugin. It automatically posts to all my social media accounts on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Tumblr, PLUS: including Neighbours, Threads, Mastodon, and Instagram.
I have Pinterest automatically posting my content with its built-in feed so that’s nothing needed on my end. As far as the Google Business option, it’s not for me.

So, I think I’ll stick with the free-supported Jetpack service that already does what this one does and does more instead of adding another plugin that costs $99.

I wish you good luck with your adventure.
